She has begun her intense training by tucking into a packet of chocolate chip cookies! However intends to pack in lots of training between now and the 5k race in a few weeks.

The shows were also used to promote the Status in the county which Amelix is also a partner agency.

Feedback to the shows has been really good, Mrs Leclerc from St Andrews Boys School in worthing  said  ”Many thanks for the high energy, entertaining production! My year 11’s are still upset with me that I didn’t organise a visit for them .. but they’ll get over it. Please pass on my thanks to James, the tech and the rest of the team for a worthwhile event that the boys are not likely to forget in a hurry!!”

Whilst Jenny Lees the PD Co-Ordinator and Geography Teacher at Davison School in Worthing said “I thought the ‘Is it worth it?’ event was excellent and certainly sent out a loud and powerful message. ”

Local radio station Splash FM also covered the roadshows interviewing pop star Ny, one of the performers at the shows as well as PC Avery from Sussex Police. You can hear exerts of both interviews below.

DevoCall currently based in Torquay, Devon was established in 2008 by husband and wife team Sandra and Malcolm Grange with a clear purpose to provide the local businesses community a “No Frills” telecoms service that focused on customer service. It also offers schools and colleges bespoke communication packages.

Malcolm, who has decided to take semi-retirement commented “Selling DevoCall was one of the toughest things Sandra and I have ever had to do, we were determined to sell it to a company that cared as much about its customers as we do about ours. I genuinely feel that Amelix will be able to offer the same if not better standard of care we have always prided ourselves on”

Louis Hurst, Group Director at Amelix said, “I have spent a lot of time over the last few weeks getting to know Sandra and Malcolm and admire their passion for their business and their dedication to their customers who they have served so well for many years. Amelix will take full ownership of the company later in the year and will be working with Sandra and Malcolm on the best way of migrating Devocall’s current clients onto the Amelix billing platform. All customers will be offered Amelix services moving forward.

Louis Hurst added “We are going to be working very hard to make sure there is no disruption to DevoCall’s current clients during the handover period. Devocall customers should automatically see a reduction of about 12% on their phone bills when they have migrated to Amelix as our standard tariff rates are a lot lower than those currently in place, we hope this price reduction will help make the transition more pleasant for the majority of Devocall’s customers.”
